Keira Capobianco
I am a proud wife and mom, as well as an experienced and passionate travel advisor. For the last 10 years, I have run a travel advisory business, which was created based on my love of family travel. Additionally, I have extensive knowledge and experience visiting the Hawaiian Islands and Europe.
I mostly grew up between New England and the Bay Area of California. With a parent living on each coast and my mother working for Continental Airlines, I was ALWAYS on a plane. My family made the most of those airline benefits, criss-crossing the U.S. and taking yearly vacations to places like Hawaii and Mexico.
Another aspect of my childhood in California involved spending weekends at our family’s vineyard in Napa Valley. I had the unique opportunity of experiencing a functioning vineyard, from grape and fruit harvesting to the epic meals for our extended family gatherings, which was made from the locally grown bounty.
I believe this laid the groundwork for my deep love of food and wine culture.
As an adult, this love of food & wine manifested into restaurant work, culminating with my running the beverage program at Davio’s restaurants. However, my wanderlust pulled at me and I decided to pivot, starting up my own travel business.
When I’m not putting together epic travel itineraries for my clients, I’m inevitably putting them together for my family. Despite having three kids, we are always eager for that next getaway.
I firmly believe all of our best moments together happen when it's just us on a plane going somewhere new, whether it's a Caribbean island vacation or a new corner of Italy.
Our family’s love of Europe is probably most apparent in our newly established Italian citizenship, and we plan to purchase a second home in Italy within the next year so we’ll have a base to really explore all of the cultural nooks of our favorite place.
As a result, I plan to utilize this first-hand knowledge to deliver exceptional travel experiences to my clients.
Brie Matter
I was born in Boston and grew up in Newburyport, MA. I was a competitive figure skater as a child and competed internationally. Those early skating trips ignited a crazy desire for travel. My dad also owned a timeshare in Aruba so my passport was filled early on after 20+ trips to visit Dad.
I started writing blog-style emails for friends and family headed to Aruba, editing them for each individual experience & helping friends find great travel deals or how to best leverage their points. I loved the planning process and as a result, everyone always encouraged me to leave advertising & turn this into a career. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, I found myself in Boston working in marketing. That first role led me to Philadelphia, where I met my husband, Dave. We lived in Brooklyn, NY for nine years and Marin County, CA for another eight. My marketing career in those years focused mostly on pharmaceuticals & fashion — I traveled constantly for work.
However, I always wanted to break into the travel industry, so I began spending hours planning trips for our family. I then began planning my friends' trips & creating custom itineraries. I also spent hours ensuring “my clients" knew the exact dinner table to request along the ocean or who could guarantee the most scenic local boat tour on Lake Como.
Dave and I are also avid live music fans and we have traveled all over the country for concerts and festivals. Our mutual love for being “on the go” coupled with our work travel led us all over the world. Most recently, we have settled down in two places, splitting time between my hometown of Newburyport, MA & our ski home in Big Sky, MT. This past year, we spent our usual winter months in Big Sky. We also visited Tokyo and skied in the north of Japan. We also hit up New Orleans for music, spent our first weekend with friends in Nantucket & enjoyed a week in Lake Como, Italy.
Meeting Keira was a twist of fate. We both know the travel world inside & out and are forever seeking new suppliers & building meaningful relationships within the travel industry to offer more personalized experiences for our clients.
